For truly, I say to you, if you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible to you.” – Matthew 17:20
“…for the battle is the Lord’s and he will give you into our hand.”…David ran quickly toward the battle line to meet the Philistine. And David put his hand in his bag and took out a stone, and slung it, and struck the Philistine on his forehead; the stone sank into his forehead, and he fell on his face to the ground.” – 1 Samuel 17:47-49
Like many people, I have been following Dr William Bay’s story since he first publicly appeared with Michael Gray Griffith on Tamborine Mountain in Queensland, Australia more than two years ago:
Michael Gray Griffith: “Who do we have here sir?”
Dr Bay: “Dr William Bay, freedom fighter, Christian, and man ready to go all the way… today is probably going to be the last day that I can use the word doctor in front of my name because AHPRA, screw you. I don’t care what you do to me, I don’t care what you do to my family, I have God in my heart and He will protect me, coz I am here to tell the people of Australia now, on your show, that the vaccine is killing them…”
And Dr William Bay has certainly lived up to the statement of going “all the way” ever since.
Several years ago I began following Dr Bay on ‘X’ (formerly Twitter) and social media generally when he had a few thousand followers. Interested members of the public were kept updated regarding his case throughout. As of this writing, his supporters have rapidly ballooned to over fourteen thousand (and mounting) on X alone. However this story is not about followers or numbers, but rather about a growing movement of Australians and world citizens still yearning for truth and accountability from those who have caused grave harm since 2020.
Those not vaccinated with the Covid-19 injections, the Covid-19 vaccine injured, and people suffering from the effects of lockdowns and manifold losses have been persecuted, gaslit, and abandoned, especially by the public servants and governments paid by us to work for us. These people suffer physical, mental, and spiritual issues as a consequence. Many – including doctors – have committed suicide. The most vulnerable – the youth and elderly – were and still are particularly affected. A large portion of humanity has completely lost trust in doctors and the medical profession. Patients have lost patience and are highly skeptical of the health system.
Fast forward to Friday 13 December 2024 (of all days) and Dr Bay – like the little shepherd boy David who plunged on to face Goliath, heart filled with faith and clutching stones of truth and justice in his hands – landed a mighty blow to a behemoth, the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), in the Supreme Court of Queensland. The extraordinary and much-deserved successful outcome of his lengthy mêlée with AHPRA – their unjust suspension and pursuit of him, to be clear – was a resounding failure for that agency, providing a much craved-for spiritual and mental boost for many people and sending ripples around the world.
For particulars regarding Dr Bay’s case and judgement see:

Dr Bay’s gallant fight and victory has poured fresh verve into tired souls. His is one of the voices of reason for freedom in a world enveloped in a thick, nefarious fog. He stepped up where few doctors in Australia have, despite the immense personal cost. In my view, he appears to have had an anointing by God – the Holy Spirit – giving him a (heavy) infusion of chutzpah, grit, purpose, and perseverance, underpinned by a profound mustard seed faith. His deep conviction and compassion for others is evident in this Interview With Dr William Bay and How God Used a Mum to Save a Doctor – Sarah Wiseman’s Testimony. God seems to have placed an important mission upon his shoulders for Australia, for the benefit of present and future generations. I am sure we will see his name referenced in history books and archived records in years and decades to come.
What spiritual lessons then, can we everyday people learn from his journey? I am by no means an authority on Christianity, spiritual conversions/experiences, God’s plan, or supernatural heavenly interventions, etc., but there are a few interesting clues to note that can help us find the courage we have witnessed in Dr Bay, and in others standing up for freedom.
What kind of person says “yes” to God’s sudden call – to be God’s soldier, if you will – and march on undauntingly despite the constant darts thrown at them? Why did he not buckle like most of us would, especially after intense personal losses? Only God’s support could be the reason for this, through His Son Jesus Christ, who bore everything on the Cross to save us.
I’ve often wondered, what was the holy magnetism of Jesus when he caused grown fishermen to instantly drop what they were doing and leave everything behind:
As he walked by the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon who is called Peter and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea; for they were fishermen. And he said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.” Immediately they left their nets and followed him.
– Matthew 4:18-20
From the outset Dr Bay seemed to inherently passionately know, without a shadow of a doubt, that God would win through him, for him and for other people, no matter how fiercely the storms around him raged. Eyes on the prize – “We will win!” – was his constant declaration, and it seemed that defeat was never an option. Even when, for all intents and purposes, to many eyes it may have looked like everything was crumbling in the medical, legal, and political arena, we saw on our screens his smiling defiant face – at times with tears falling, including our own while watching – giving glory to Jesus. We also saw his witty emojis in X posts or phrases poking fun at the enemy (e.g. “dark mistress” is my personal favourite). You cannot beat the power combination of faith and humour as a brilliant way to dismantle tyrannical zealots, by the way.
Then there was the resonant little shofar (a ram’s horn, blown as an instrument which symbolically releases God’s voice) used at Queensland Peoples’ Protest events (or a non-plastic megaphone), and his arrest while protesting outside AHPRA’s headquarters in Queensland (where he was later released and not charged). Still no matter – he bounced right back up again.
Despite trolls mocking him after apparent disappointments and delays in medical, legal, political, and other matters (e.g. the constitutionality of ‘The Voice’ Referendum) he stoically endured.
THIS is the strength of faith in Jesus which He wants from all of us:
And as Jesus passed on from there, two blind men followed him, crying aloud, “Have mercy on us, Son of David.” When he entered the house, the blind men came to him; and Jesus said to them, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?” They said to him, “Yes, Lord.” Then he touched their eyes, saying, “According to your faith be it done to you.” And their eyes were opened.
– Matthew 9: 27-30
Isn’t that the kind of faith we ought to have? Childlike, surrendered to an assured and complete victory because we know Jesus is with us? Shouldn’t that be enough for us? “Jesus, I Trust In You” as in the Divine Mercy image.
It is clear from Scripture and throughout history (e.g. apparitions approved by the Catholic Church) that God chooses the humble, the least of us, the most unlikely, the uneducated, newly converted or reverted Christians – or whomever else He pleases – to fulfil His plan and purpose for humanity. And nothing will stop it. These people and what they achieve for God confound the rich, the intelligentsia, the “experts” and “powerful” in the world’s eyes. That is God’s special twist – His beautiful flavour. You might call these people ‘biblical underdogs’.
What strikes me about Dr Bay and others publicly pushing against medical and other tyrannies over the last five years (including Dr My Le Trinh, Dr Mark Hobart, etc.) is that they are overwhelmingly people of faith – not necessarily always Christian, but mostly so. Whether they believe strongly in God or are slowly inching towards a deeper relationship with Him, they all come to the same conclusion: we are in a spiritual war between the powers of darkness and light – between Satan and God. They have come to realise that we cannot win without a Higher Power – His higher power – because the fate of humanity is at stake. In short, biblical times require biblical responses.
Some have said that Dr Bay is crazy or too passionate in his tactics to bring attention to the dangers of the Covid-19 injections. Trolls have often used that old chestnut slur aimed at every unvaccinated or freedom-loving Australian for the past four years: “cooker”. His approach was loud and bold (yet still calm and conservative in my view) because crimes against humanity demands such a reaction. People in the “mainstream” have been placid or shocked into a comatose-like sleep. We have already seen endless conferences and speaking events, and while this is good, we also need a Jonah or two:
So Jonah arose and went to Nin′eveh, according to the word of the Lord. Now Nin′eveh was an exceedingly great city, three days’ journey in breadth. Jonah began to go into the city, going a day’s journey. And he cried, “Yet forty days, and Nin′eveh shall be overthrown!” – Jonah 3:3-4
Was Dr Bay mad to do what he did? Is it all about sensationalism? Not at all.
The saints formally recognised by the Catholic Church were all mad in some form; mad for God’s love, mad about fulfilling His Will and purpose, mad for souls – you and I – to make it to heaven to partake in His eternal victory. The saints – who we also aim to be – gave their all.
Anyone who loves God in their heart has His wind behind them, driving them with a passion that is beyond human understanding. It was for love for His Father that Jesus turned over the tables in the temple with zeal – a seeming madness (Matthew 21:12-13). It was for love and a lesson in trust that Jesus walked on water (mad!) to rescue his distressed apostles in the boat during the wild storm (Matthew 14:25-33). It was madness to raise the dead and – gasp! – madder still to heal the wretched unclean leper (many of us unvaccinated ‘lepers’ know Jesus would not have treated us with the rejection we experienced from others). This is the madness that should be infectious.
I see in Dr Bay the same spiritual fortitude and tenacity I saw in people I knew from my church as a volunteer choir member and cantor for over 20 years (until 2021 when I was unable to return due to Covid-19 “vaccine” mandates). Such people were humble, loved to serve, and above all else, loved Christ without having to say so. Their actions spoke instead. They were people of prayer, humour, wit, compassion, big-heartedness, and an inexplicable peace. I recall looking at my companions with awe, literally feeling God’s presence shine from them. This has stayed with me for over twenty years. No matter what challenges they faced, they seemed to have an unending supply of energy and goodness, always offering to help others, even to their own detriment. It was only after these individuals died that I found out how much they had personally struggled, including with depression and mental anguish. But they focused on God and building constructive relationships with people – not on themselves.
Can we be such people too?
God is calling us to trust Him implicitly whether we feel His power and Spirit or not. We are called to be childlike – I found a demonstration of this in Dr Bay’s final prayer at the end of this Club Grubbery Media interview: Graham and John speak with Dr William Bay and the court decision against AHPRA.
While some have advised the public not to be overly exuberant about Dr Bay’s successful outcome, and others have pondered that retaliation by the other side may still come, we should allow Dr Bay to savour this moment. We all need to be thankful for this gift from God. The court’s judgement will rightly be analysed, discussed on panels, etc. to determine whether there are wider ramifications for all doctors, patients, etc. Time – and those in the know – will tell. Regardless, at a minimum, we celebrate for Dr Bay because he can work again as a doctor, earning an income like any human being has the right to do to survive, and he will undoubtedly thrive. Even above this reason, as mentioned during the Club Grubbery Media interview, this is a spiritual win.
I posted in reply to Dr Bay a couple of times on X (and received a positive response) regarding a possible future book:
I hope you write that book and call it “We Will Win: a story of triumph over tyranny”. – My X post to Dr Bay on October 23 2024.
I hope he does write that book whether or not my suggested title is used.
And so the indomitable, indefatigable “Suspended Dr Bay” is now “The Victorious Dr Bay”. He is right – it is a great time to be alive. May glory and thanks be given to God through Jesus Christ for all things, for Dr Bay’s victory, and those to come. May God protect everyone. Our heavenly Father is speaking to the Australian people. He is using His instruments and we need to listen.
- Submit to God entirely;
- Anticipate the unexpected;
- Ask God what your purpose or mission is (even if it takes a while to understand or hear Him);
- Expect suffering (the only way to victory is through the Cross);
- Read and do your research – breach your own boundaries of knowledge;
- Refuse any situation that goes against your faith, heart, spirit, conscience, and morals;
- Be prepared to go against the grain;
- Never blindly yield to compliance – use your brain and ask questions;
- Trust your gut instincts i.e. that is the Holy Spirit speaking to you – discern well;
- Seek God’s grace and ask for wisdom;
- Work on humility;
- Always pray for loved ones, yourself, and all people – God intervenes and has a plan;
- Do no harm – applies to everyone.
