A simple scene before us,
A mother kneeling by,
A father looking tenderly,
A bright star in the sky.
For in their midst is He,
Who came to save us all,
A baby boy with arms outstretched,
For love and peace He calls.
Come see His little face,
His eyes will heal your pain,
Of every struggle you have felt,
His light is yours to gain.
May the baby Jesus bless you,
In His humble throne,
A manger filled with simple hay,
You’ll never be alone.
Come sing before the child,
And see Him smile for you,
He does not care for riches,
He only seeks the truth.
Turkey, feasts, and trimmings,
His little body lacks,
His tiny feet and hands are cold,
He only wants you back.
Mary looks upon you,
Joseph smiles so proud,
Bow before the lowly crib,
For light indeed you’ve found.
May the baby Jesus bless you,
Oh, do not be afraid,
No matter what the future brings,
In you His love remains.
May you all have a peaceful, holy, and simple Christmas with your family and friends – just like that first Christmas. We must remember that Christ is the reason for this season. Please know that if you are alone and Christmas is a difficult or sad time, you are deeply loved by Jesus and He has not forgotten you. In fact, He came especially for you.
God’s love and goodwill to all people, everywhere!
With prayers,
The MuSinGer
